Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
I received a phone call, 12/22/10, from a male stating that I had 3 civil complaints filed against me. He said that I should call back immediately because this is a time sensitive matter. He gave me a reference # and phone # to call--877-404-7650 x 1013.
This doesn't seem right to me---he mumbled his name and didn't give an office name. Are "warnings" given in advance before someone is served with legal documents regarding, I don't know what?
Please advise as to what I should do, if anything.
Is this free advice? If not, I need to know how much before I talk to someone. I would appreciate an immediate response.
Thank You

Lawyers don't call to warn you suits are being filed. It is either a scam, or a collector who is probably violating the law.
If yoiu have unpaid debts, see a lawyer. If you don't, ignore the scam
Regardless, do not call them.
