Who Am I Require to Serve A Demand Letter On

I was maliously arrested and put in jail in Atlanta, Ga. I want to sue the city of Atlanta and the cop that arrested me. I was told that I am require to serve the city of Atlanta with a Damand Letter first before I can sue. My question is. Who am I require to send the letter to. The Mayor or someone else?

Your lawyer will do that for you. If you have a legitimate case, a qualified lawyer will take it, perhaps on a contingency. You certainly would need a lawyer to file the case, take it to trial, or obtain a settlement. Writing a letter yourself will, in all likelihood, lead to the city not taking your claim seriously.
