Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
A roofing company received a judgment against me. I have sent them payments for the past 2 months and they have accepted the payments. They have now sent me interrogatories requesting my personal income information. Can they do this if they have accepted my payments thus far?

Yes, unless they agreed to settle the matter for the payments they have received.

Yes, and interrogatories mean you're likely to be hit with garnishments, levies, etc, so drop all your plans for Friday and see a lawyer. You will need to go bankrupt or figure out an agreed settlement or something along those lines, and you have (likely) a riskto yourhome because of the lien.
