Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
My roommate has an unauthorized dog (German Sheppard) living in the house. I've had problems before with it running around and marking on my furniture/clothes and have had several heated arguments about it. We finally came to a resolution that the dog would be kept in the roommates room and not left unsupervised. The roommate went behind my back and contacted the landlord to try to get his pet on the lease. The dog was denied due to its breed. (I already have a small dog and cat on the lease) My roommate now just wants to keep the dog there anyways, but I'm afraid of the legal ramifications if the landlord finds out there's an unauthorized pet. I'm 28 years old, have flawless rental history and don't want this 18 year old kid and his dog screwing up my many years of hard work. I'm saving up to buy a house in a few years and am really paranoid about getting evicted because that would ruin my flawless rental record.

There's no way to answer you as you left out a key fact - is the roomate on the lease? Let us know. (You've posted in the wrong part of LawGuru so many landlord-tenant lawyers here may never see your question - this isn't a litigation issue).
