Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I was served with a judgement against me on December 18 2010. I had a month to answer to the filed judgement in court which I did. My question is this. When I got served the amount of the cicil action claimed filed was 3473.03, they have now called me and want to settle out of court but told me the amount was 3842.57 that there were some fees that were not added on the claim givento me. Can they do that? They said that they tryed to serve me at a different addresss and thus incurred more fees. How could they serve me at diferent address when I was already served with the judgment at the correct address. What can I do?

Refuse to pay and go back to court to resolve. However, if you were hiding from service, they have the right to charge you anything additional (attorney fees, service of process fees, etc.) to track you down. You have an uphill battle.
