Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
service agreement terms
I would like to get out of a contract the termination reads except where prohibited by law I am in a contract for 3 years, it has been 2 and I do not like their service but they will not let me out of the contract. Also, the company has sold to another company and the contract is with the old company in the old company's name. Does this matter.

Re: service agreement terms
You need to have all the documents reviewed. Consult with a local attorney.
Re: service agreement terms
Without reading the contract no one can answer you. The language of the contract likely contains the answer to this question.
Re: service agreement terms
Unless there is a provision precluding the company from assigning the contract, they can sell it freely. Regarding getting out of the contract, that depends on the exact terms (is there a termination provisions that allows you to do so) or if you can show that the other party breached the agreement first.
