Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

i set up a day for this kid to meet me so we could talk. neither of us liked the other but he had a bigger problem with me. so i told him i would meet him at a nearby park after school. when he got there i just wanted to talk to him first to see if he would answer my question. he swung on me hard and then threw about 10 more punches at me. he through me on the ground and had me pinned down then one of my friends finally pulled him off. as he was walking away i jogged over to him and hit him in the face in defense. he gave me a black eye, a scraped arm, scraped back, scraped knee, scraped hand, cut on my face and a welt on my cheekbone, and two knots on my head. i went to the hospital for a catscan and xray. can i press charges against him?
