Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Slander

Someone I know has threatened to sue me for slander via a 3rd person. I've always heard that slander is very difficult to prove. I'm positive that what I have said was no more than my personal opinion and would be protected under my right to free speech. Would you please contact me about this when you have time? I'm not worried about it, but I would like to know what would have to be proven for a sucessful lawsuit against me.
