Is it possible to sue someone for services that were paid for but not rendered in small claims court if they live in another state?

Ordinarily, no. A defendant generally must be sued in the county of his/her residence. However, there is something known as the "long-arm statute" which might be available. However, it is too complicated to describe in this type of forum. You should consult with a local attorney.

Several questions need to be answered first: Where was the service contract entered into? Where were the services to be performed? What type of services were to be performed? Describe the origin of the services contract relationship.
