Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
Sqwatter's Rights
My ex-boyfriend and I have been cohabitating: April 2006 - Jun 2006, and then again Dec 2006 - currently. He agreed to pay $600/mth towards household bills and split the cost of groceries. I attempted to get him to sign a cohabitation agreement, but he refused. Now he wants to move out, but claims that he doesn't have to continue paying his $600 monthly fee towards the bills. What are my rights as the home owner? Can I evict him without legal recourse for non-payment of rent? He also agreed to pay his portion of a joint use credit card. Is our verbal agreement binding

Re: Sqwatter's Rights
Your post does not make sense. Why would you need to evict him if he wants to move out? If you want him out, and he wants to leave, why would the monthly rent/bills he pays be relevant if you have no agreement to pay for a certain term? The solution seems clear - he moves out as both of you want. As for the purchases, he should pay for his purchases and interest on his purchases.
