Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I subleased an apartment from this woman from feb-august. my cousin also subleased in the same apartment from the other girl that was living there. In april, i told my landlord i could not stay there anymore and would be moving out and gave her enough time to find another subleaser since there was no signed agreement stating i would be penalized for leaving since i was not signed on her lease. my cousin ended up getting evicted from the 3rd bedroom due to non payment but she continued to live there and use lights,. water, etc. while i had been living at my mom's house since the end of april. My landlord did not right an eviction notice nor give me a 30 day notice to get my things out of the apartment and she changed the lock and refused to let me get my things out of the apartment. By law isn't that a crime to hold someone's belongings hostage??

Yes, get a lawyer regarding your assets.

But also remember you will get sued, as most leases prohibit subleasing.
