Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
Subletter Will Not Pay!
I sublet my apartment in Massachusetts, and the girl has decided that the other tenants there treated her unfairly and caused monetary damages to her things. She signed a lease to pay both the rent and 1/4 of the utilities, and now she claims that she should get a break on the rent and/or utilities. I have asked her to send me the ''bills and damages,'' but she has not done that either. Now that I live in Georgia and the apartment is in Boston, how do I go about this? Wil I need to fly to Boston to file a suit? Can she be required to pay those costs. Help!

Re: Subletter Will Not Pay!
You would need to file suit in Boston. You could get a local attorney to handle the case for you and you may not have to go to Boston.
