Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I may be sued

I live in a very rural area and my dog ran into the road into the side of an ATV 4-wheeler. The ATV was not legal on the road. The dog died and the two parties on the ATV were injured fairly seriously. Because they were driving illegally, will that protect my wife and I from being sued. I know anyone can sue, but will they have a strong case? We own our home outright, would they be able to take our home and property were they to win?

You should have already reported this to your homeowner's insurance. They would defend any suit and pay any claims up to the policy limits, assuming you have proper coverage. Failure to report it can jeapordize your coverage.
