Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

theft of deposit by subcontractor

We are a Contractor.

We hired a subcontractor.

We gave him a deposit of $2400, which was 1/2 of total job bid.

He has left town & his house is for sale.

What is our recourse?

Unfortunately, you must find hid and sue him in the county of his residence. Having said that, you may be able to file suit in the county of his house and claim that he is a resident of that county. Talk to a local attorney.
