Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Tips for garnishing a bank account

I recently (represented myself and) won a judgement in Gwinnett Co. against a former client who owes me several thousand dollars in unpaid invoices. I intend to garnish the bank account in an effort to get payment. Any suggestions on making sure I get what I am owed? I garnishd the account of another client, but only got about 1/2 of the monies. I don't believe this (incorporated) business has many assets, as most equipment probably leased. Can their accounts received be garnished in some way, or have a lien of some sort applied?

I know of no way under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia concerning the enforcement and collection of judgments that you as a judgment creditor could encumber or attach the accounts receivables due and owing your judgment debtor.

Whether the laws of the state of Georgia are any different, I do not know, but would suspect not.
