Traverse rulings

I took someone to court, won the case and am having his wages garnished. I just received a TRAVERSE form in the mail with an order to appear next week in court. Exactly what is he doing now? And what can this mean for my case that I have already won?

A traverse is the means by which the defendant may challenge the existence of the judgment or the amount claimed. The garnishment sections are O.C.G.A. Sec. 18-4-1 through 18-4-135. The one you want to look at is 18-4-65. You can search the GA code at: http://www.legis.state.ga.us/cgi-bin/gl_codes_detail.pl?code=1-1-1 These traverses rarely prevail. They are usually filed for delay.
