Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Vehicle Ownership dispute

I purchased a vehicle in february, The bill of sale is in my name and for tag and insurance reasons I put the title in my mothers name. The insurance is in her name aswell and I am a listed driver. We got in an argument and she called the police and reported that I stole the car. I have all keys, the title, and bill of sale but they towed the vehicle. I know where the car is located. I was wondering what rights do I have to the vehicle and what can I do to get my vehicle back?

Thankyou,

Re: Vehicle Ownership dispute

If the title of the vehicle is in your mother's name, she owns the vehicle and has control over it. You should not have given her title to the car.
