Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Video Scandal

Can you sue someone for obtaining a sexual video of you from someone else and showing the video in the town that you live and own a business in? The video was shown in another place of business across the street from my business and was discussed in a governmental office in the same town. My business is my sole income and this could ruin my reputation and in turn ruin my business. The very short video clip was recorded on a cell phone that belonged to my boyfriend in my apartment over 1 1/2 years ago. The cell phone got into the hands of his childs mother by way of the child finding it at his daddys house and taking it home. The mother of the child showed the video around town to numerous people.

Re: Video Scandal

You certainly can sue for this. But what are you going to get? Does the other party have any assets? If not you are not it is not likely you will be compensated and you will be spending a lot of money on attorney's fees. If you want to hire an attorney to pursue this then I or anyother attorney who post here would be happy to help you.
