Legal Question in Health Care Law in Georgia
My Dad has Alzheimer's and, while he was still able, signed a power of attorney naming both myself & his wife as being able to make his decisions. They currently live about 3 hours away and we are moving him to a local nursing home near me. She is listed as primary and I'm secondary on his P.O.A.. How do we change this and is there a form where she can designate me as primarily responsible? I don't want any issues once I get him in the nursing home as to whether her approval is required regarding his medical needs/care. I really need to know so that when I drive to get him Monday, we can make that change.

If time is of the essence, you should be contacting a lawyer who handles these rather than an internet website.
