Legal Question in Health Care Law in Georgia
Doctor Refusal
My children were involved in a MVA and need to follow up with their Pediatrician. The doctor is refusing to see them if I do not pay my co-pay at time of service. Can she do this?

Re: Doctor Refusal
Absent a contract stating otherwise, yes - doctors are generally not required to extend credit to you. Many doctors require the entire fee at the time of services and leave it up to you to file an insurance claim. If you do not like the terms, you are probably free to choose another doctor.
