Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

Please need advice on what to do next.

Went for my citizenship interview today. Everything went well with the exam until the last part when the examiner said that there are information that were not included on my application for an arrest with no charges filed that happened in 1991. I told her the truth that I did not know that the information was left out of the N400 application by the person that prepared the form for me. She told me that she will not be approving the application at that moment until she does more investigation into the matter. She said I should be hearing from them in 30-45 days.

I will like to know if there anything I can do to resolve this situation. Do I need to send them the paperwork for the arrest and write a letter to plead my case?

Desperately need help.

Thanks

Yes, you should have reported all arrests and convictions as the N-400 clearly asks for that information. At this point you should submit the arrest report and explain what happened. I strongly urge you to retain an attorney to help you with this as you could also be accused of misrepresentation since you did not report the arrest when filing the application.
