Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia
H1B visa question
Dear Sir,
I am a Master's student filing for my H1B visa this year in 20000 quota. My OPT is expiring on Jun 20, 07. My grace period wud expire on aug 20, 07. I was thinking to take admission in some institute like Kaplan for Jun 07 - Sep 07.
My question is -
1.) If I apply for my new I-20 in 1st week of june, by tht time, I would have my h1b approval with me(doing premium processing). In that case, would getting new I-20 void my h1b visa? . is it possible to go this way without any legal trouble.
2.) If I take I-20 now which would be valid from jun 11, 07, in this case would my present OPT would be valid till Jun 11, 07 or it wud get void as soon as I apply(suppose 1st week of march) for new I-20(even though tht new I-20 would be valid from jun 11, 07).
-----------------
I would appreciate if you can help me by guiding on this issue.
Regards.

Re: H1B visa question
Gap-filling for the H-1B has become a very detailed and specific area of immigration law practice. One way to fill the gap is the F-1. Another way (and cost saving) may be to use a B-1/B-2. To receive information about gap-filling options, please check out our gap-filling page at www.visaserve.com. In the alternative you can call our offices for a consultation.
