Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

Hi,

I will move to the US in JAN/15 with a H1-B visa that I will get by getting tranferred from my job in Brazil to the US (Atlanta more specifically).

So, I have a wife who I think will get a H4 visa, which doesnt allow to work... SHe is currently a senior archtect in Brazil and probably will want to work as it in the US... she has more than 12-year exprience if this make difference...

So my question is, is it hard to find a job that would let her move from H4 visa to H1-B visa?

Tks,

Joao

An H-4 nonimmigrant cannot work. As for a change of status from H-4 to H-1B, it is too late, as applications for the new fiscal year must be received by USCIS tomorrow (April 1st).

If she is a U.S. licensed architect with a 4 year University degree, she should qualify for an H-1B visa. However, finding a company willing to petition her is another issue.
