Hello, I am sending you this email to inquire about the best way to handle my case.

The INS mistakenly closed my case after failing to inform me of a scheduled interview, they sent me a letter after one of my numerous calls (to inquire about the case) to let me know that they closed the case because I didn't show up for an interview. I have the letter to prove it.

Which really doesn't make sense because I called the INS in May of 2003 and they told me they'll look up the status of my case and send me a letter...and in late July I received the letter stating that I failed to show up for an interview in early July.

That interview was about the removal of my conditional residence status.

I already hired a lawyer since last year, but he hasn't shown any results yet so i don't know if I can count on him. Please tell me if you can help me.

Yes, I can probably help, but there is no specific quick fix for your situation. The issue is whether you received notice of the interview and whether you kept them apprised of your address.
