Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
no auto insurance
I was recently involved in an auto accident that totaled my vehicle. The other driver was at fault and cited for no insurance. My insurance (uninsured motorist)adjustors will pay the amount my vehicle was valued at. This is just enough to pay off the loan on my vehicle. Now I have no car, no equity and no down payment. I am also afraid my insurance premiums will go up. What legal options do I have against the other driver? It seems very unfair for my finances to be crippled due to his negligence. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

GAP insurance is the cure. Five year car loans without gap insurance cause problems such as you are experiencing. Were you injured?
