Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia

Insurance Settlement

I was involved in a car accident (not at fault) in July. My insurance company pressured me into going to a collision center they advocated. In short, Nalley Collision wrecked the car again and totaled it. Nalley Collision tried to force me to accept the totaled vehicle and drive it off premises. The wheel would have flown off if I had driven it. I am not sure how to proceed. Nalley committed fraud and told me the car was fine. How should I proceed?

More detail would be needed to advise you. I would suggest you contact a lawyer and provide more facts to determine if you can or should seek legal recourse.

Re: Insurance Settlement

Call your insurance company ASAP and have them send an adjuster out there to examine the car immediately. You may also want to hire your own auto repair expert to look at the car to document this further but that will cost you some money. Or you could would wait until after your insurer examined it and gave you a report before getting your own expert to see if you really need one. Most insurers are not in bed with the repair people and have a lot of influence because of the volume of repair business the insurer controls. Get them on your side.
