Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
My job is becoming part time at the first of the year. I am 63 and decided to take early retirement. I applied to AARP health ins though Aetna. I made a mistake on the online application and checked the wrong box. They denied coverage. I appealed and send in doctors records to prove I did not have the condition they denied me for. They have ingnored me and still list that condition as the reason. I am now basically "black listed" to every other insurance company. Is there anything I can do? Is this legal that they can do this to me?

This is a situatiuon where one of two things may help. You could pay a lawyer to contact them, which hopefully would get their attention. Or you can see if the state insurance commissioner or federal regulators might speak to them on your behalf.
