Your story is unfortunate but is also a very common tale. This is what can happen when you do not have enough liability insurance. The head of the household is responsible in GA for negligent damage done by children driving a car owned by the head of the household under the "family purpose doctrine." You are finding out the hard way that not enough insurance can be a real problem. Go to a reputable agent and get more coverage before one of your other kids does the same thing.

You omitted details we'd need to know to even begin to answer you, including your daughter's age, your income, your assets, and details about the claim. It would be a verfy prudent move for you to consult with a lawyer right away to review options which may range from bankruptcy to doing nothing, depending completely on the information no one here has.
