Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
O.C.G.A & 24-3-37
I would like to know what this means:
The offer to settle for the policy limits is made to you in the spirit of compromise pursuant to O.C.G.A. & 24-3-37.
What does the state require insurance to pay on:
1 acute cervical sprain/strain.
2. acute thoraic sprain/strain.
3. Lumbar sprain/strain.
4. Headache
5. Muscle spasms
6. Cerviocranial syndrome
7. myofascial strain
8. 1% whole person impairment.
i don't know what the state requires to for these injuries and just to need to know where to start.
thankyou,
camelia

The state does not require the insurer to pay specific amounts for specific injuries. The reference to O.C.G.A. 24-3-37 is unclear. You should verifify that code section to make sure you haven't transposed numbers.
Also, assuming your posting is taken from a letter from an insurer, it appears that the insurer is offering you their policy limits (i.e. the full amount they are contractually obligated to pay on their insured's behalf). Before you accept any offer from the insurer, you should consult an attorney about your claims because you could be missing possible coverage, the insurer may not have disclosed all of their available coverage, etc.
