Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
I have recently been involved in a fender bender type accident. The other party was found at fault. Both parties are insured. My questions is: can my insurance company require me to have repairs done using only after market parts? thank you

No. Insist on new parts. The insurer who is supposed to pay to fix your car is the insurer of the at-fault driver, not your insurer.

If the other party is at fault, your insurance company should NOT be involved. And no, an insurer cannot require after-market parts. Insist on new factory parts unless it is something where you are comfortable with the lesser parts (and if you do use them, insist on a very long warranty).
