Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
uninsured driver
I was in an accident and was hit by a man who did not own the vehicle. He was not insured under the policy. He was drinking and driving and fled the scene of the accident but was caught and charged. Who do i sue for my personal injuries and property damage?

Re: uninsured driver
The driver. Sometimes you can sue the owner for what is called "negligent entrustment" if you can prove the owner knew the driver was unfit to drive in some way (history of accidents, alcohol abuse, doesn't know how to drive, etc.) but that is relatively rare.
