Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
Uninsured New Vehicle Lost In Hurricane Katrina
A new vehicle with lapsed insurance coverage was lost during Hurricane Katrina. The insurance company was notified of the lapsed coverage 28 days prior to the loss of the vehicle by the vehicle owner. Assuming that the lien holder purchased coverage on the vehicle, how much, if any, of the loan debt would be passed on to the vehicle owner?

Re: Uninsured New Vehicle Lost In Hurricane Katrina
I'm not sure I understand your question, but generally, the owner is responsible for the car loan irregardless of the condition of the car or the insurance coverage.
