Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
unlicensed illegal hit by friend
My friend was stopped at a light, the truck in front of him started to go at the green, and then slammed on his brakes, my friend hit him. The person who was hit has an expired SC, and Mexican licenses, but is insured. They drove to the police station, my friends car is damaged, but the truck has no visable damage, other than the driver ''claiming'' his bumper is now low. (the hitch hit my friends car). The police arrested the illegal for no license, but issued my friend a citation for following too close, and he must appear in court in Jan. My friend just found out that the other person is filing a claim against his Insurance. Does my friend have any recourse? We think that the person who was hit, stopped on purpose to get money for previous damage to his vechicle.

Re: unlicensed illegal hit by friend
This is why you carry car insurance. Instead of worrying, your insurer will investigate and defend the case (or pay) as appropriate.
