Legal Question in Insurance Law in Georgia
We are on the verge of losing our house. I have a $3900 check that is intended to pay the dr that did some surgery for me. He doesn't have his name on the check. Can I cash this check and use it to save our house without getting into any trouble, like insurance fraud or something like that?

Since you failed to tell us anything about the check, such as who it is from (the party issuing the check), who it is made out to, etc, you won't get a much of an answer. Since you posted under insurance law, if the check is from the insurance company and you received it only to give to the medical provider, you certainly can get in trouble for misappropriating the funds.
