Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Georgia

I have developed a jingle for a brand named product. The manufacturer's name, which is included in the jingle, is a registered trademark. Can I have the jingle copyrighted using the manufacturer's name ?

That would be a great way to get sued. Do NOT do it.

s a Franchise Attorney I agree with the the other attorney. First of all, "jingles" can't be copyrighted. Second, if you infringe on someone else's trademark, you can and likely will get sued. If the jingle is good for the manufacturer, you might be able to sell it to them. But this requires preparation of a well defined nondisclosure agreement. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney for specific advice.
