Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Georgia

I want to make plushies of characters off of a canceled TV show from Disney and sell them, as it is a hobby and passion of mine that I would like to see done. I already have a few possible customers that I have surveyed that would buy the products. It would be a home business. What steps would I have to go through in order to maintain rights to sell this product? And how much profit would I have to give to Disney?

As you may have surmised you cannot do this without a license agreement from Disney. I suspect it is unlikely they would give such a license, but you would have to contact them to determine if they would and what they would charge.
