Does an authorized reseller of a product have authority to act as an enforcer of the patent?

It really depends on your reseller agreement. It might be worth it to have your agreement reviewed, if there is one. If there is no such agreement, your probably do not have such rights to file a claim, although you may be able to send a cease and desist letter. Have you forwarded this information to the patent holder for action? Often times, that is the best way to handle the situation.
