Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Georgia
slogan protection for a group
Before the registration mark appeared on MADD stickers, what was most likely used...a TM or an SM? Support for a group cause doesn't seem to fit a product or service.

Re: slogan protection for a group
The answer depends upon the products as to which the mark is applied: if to tangible goods, then a superscript TM is appropriate; if to services, then SM. In the example you cite, the stickers are a tangible good (in the Paper Goods class, IC 16), so TM would be used until a registration is obtained.
