Legal Question in Investment Law in Georgia
Forged Signature
I had a retirement with my employer, left for short time, got it out and found out I didn't have anything, ex-husband had forged my signature, borrowed the money, and left me broke in my retirement fund. I am currently taking ex back to court for contempt on other issues realting to divorce aggreement. I have tried to get documentation from hospital I work at but they have mysteriously lost all of them, fired lady(20 year employee) who was involved in allowing this to happen to me and replaced her with a calous individual who says and I qoute, ''The hospital will admit no wrong''. This was the resistance I got when I asked for copies, not to sue the hospital but to show a history of forgeries with ex. He was very mean to me and to make it worse, even attempts to get copies from the actual people who offer the retirement fund services have been unsuccessful. I now feel that if I wasn't under FMLA due to my cancer issues I wouldn't have a job as a nurse because I feel the hospital thinks I am trying to sue them when I am not. As soon as I beat this cancer, I know I will have no job at the first opportunity they will find a silly reason to fire me... since my years of service mean so little, can I hold the hospital liable???

Re: Forged Signature
If you are working with an attorney, allow them to obtain the documents from the hospital via a "Notice to Produce."
