Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Back wages due or not?

I have been working for a small company for several years, under no contract. About 5 years ago the company suffered a downturn in business, with the owner being fairly advanced in years. I stayed on for about 1/3 of my traditional compensation--again, with no contract or agreement. Last year the owner died. Do I have a claim against the company for the salary balance?

Re: Back wages due or not?

You are entitled to be paid for the time you worked, under your agreement with the company. Your post does not reflect any dispute about your wages, or the existence of any "back wages."
