Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Old Boss Harrassment

I quit a job working as office mgr. for a vet practice. The owner was very passive aggressive and took her frustrations out on staff in the presence of co workers in a meeting setting. I assisted another ex employee by writing her a letter to assit her in receiving unemployment. Once the vet practice owner (old boss) got a copy of the letter, she visited my new workplace and asked to talk to not only me, but my new contract employer. She made my new boss feel threatened with loss of business and intimidated me. Since she has been associated with my current employer and has been in the past, its as if she is saying...fire her or I won't refer clients to yoy,,,without actually saying it. Can she lash out at me in this harrassing and intimidating manner?? Do i have any rights in this situation??

Re: Old Boss Harrassment

From your post this is not a legal issue. You have the "right" to express your opinion as well as the old boss. If your current employer has an issue with the old boss, it is their issue, not yours. The old boss can refer clients to anyone she wants.
