I am working at client site in McLean,VA thru different vendor(middleman). I am working for my employer since April 2003. I got a new job and I have given I week notice to my employer (by E mail). Now employer says I cant leave job in the middle of project. (verbally they told me that this project can continue for two more months). He is siding one of the clauses of my agreement. Please see below.
If selected, CANDIDATE, agrees to provide services under this contract to the client as a Contractor/Consultant of TVD from the start date requested by the client and for as long as the client requires his/her services on hourly basis for an all-inclusive of expenses at a rate of $ /hr
He is threatening me that, he can sue for breach of agreement. He owes me 2 months salary. Full contract you can see @

Re: Is it a Breach of Agreement?
Your question was posted as pertaining to Georgia law, but it sounds like it may really pertain to Virginia law, unless the contract in question is governed by Georgia law by its terms, by situs of the contract, or other principles. But, generally around the nation, an employer cannot literally force a person to work. However, if an employee promises as part of his contract to work through a particular date, or complete a particular project, he/she could be sued for breach of contract to recover any loss the employer realizes because of the breach.
However, I would need much more in the way of details to proffer an opinion on your particular situation. By the way, the link you provided did not turn up any contract that I could find.
