Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I called out of work due to my sick mother, my manager told me i would need a letter of some kind to put in the records. I gave him a sign note on a tuesday and he said it was fine so i worked wed as usual but when i came in thurs. the owner said it was not good enough and that i would need another one with diff date or i couldnt return to work. I wasnt able to get another one so i was fired and was denied my unemployment. If i appeal it do i have any chance of winning

You provide no facts at all about why you were denied unemployment, or how the employer responded. No one can guess your chances, and it would not do you any good if someone did guess. Go to the hearing and state your case.

Your question IS very sketchy. However, if you do have documentation showing that your mother was sick and required your attention on the day in question, then you do have a decent chance of being granted unemployment. However, as Charles Dickens said, "The truth is not enough, hire an attorney." The appeal hearing is critical and is almost the whole ball game, so you should have representation, as the hearing examiners are not generally sympathetic to claimants in this type of situation.
