Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Cell phones at work

I am a teacher at a pre-k. A new rule has been instituted, whereby directors will confiscate an individual's cell phone, if that person is using it during the workday. Is this legal?

They cannot take your property and sell it, but otherwise they can set policy during school/work hours.
