Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

commission check

I was recently terminated from my job as a salesman. My salary was determined by commission. Does my employer have a right to hold my commission check after I was terminated or do they owe this to me upon termination. I have agreed to the figure they owe me so its not a matter of them totaling my sales commission. thank you.

Re: commission check

Ordinarily, an employee is entitled to a commission upon a specific event, like the receipt of the revenue. Look to your employment agreement or policies to determine when you would normally receive the commission.
