Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
A coworker was just arrested after he broke into an ex-girlfriend's apartment and attempted to sexually assault her. He is in jail now, charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors; however, if he were to post bail, could our employer allow him to return to work? Or is there a way for them to refuse to allow him to return to work? There are numerous females who work at our business, and none of them is comfortable having someone who has committed such a violent crime back at work with us. Is there a way for us to prevent him from returning? Our manager fully supports him coming back by the way.
