Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Employee Pay

My employer states that I have been overpaid for the last five years and demands restitution. Is there no statute of limitations or other protection available to me?

Re: Employee Pay

Since you state no facts about the overpayment, I am not sure what "protection" you believe might be appropriate. The statute of limitations is for lawsuits, not them asking for money back. Even then, if they could not file suit for the oldest overpayments, is it worth a risk of a lawsuit for some of the money, most likely a termination of your employment, and possible effects on future employment?
