Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Can an Employer; refuse to give you a W-2 form to complete for your job, fill out the W-2 and sign it for you with/without your knowlege, have you paid with a personal check rather that a company check that does not have a stub or show any deductions/taxes,etc., and then require you to sign and cash that check at the place of employment even if the hours don't match? Requesting a W-2 form to fill out or a copy of the one the employer filled out and/or questioning the W-2 and/or the paycheck procedure results in employee punishment and defamation of character as a minimum, reduction of routine scheduled hours, being taken off the schedule, and/or being fired without of due cause. All of these incidences have been witnessed by peer employees and/or customers. Daily working situations are filled with multiple "don't do's", threats of being fired, and obstruction of basic constitutional rights e.g. freedom of speech.

Since you wrote vague questions instead of actual facts, the answer might be yes, no or maybe to all of them. Given that, you might direct your questions (with actual facts) to the Ga. Dept of Labor. Keep in mind that if this business is operated in violation of wage or tax laws, it often leads to the closing of the business, and/or the loss of jobs. You will also be liable for all income taxes.
As far as "freedom of speech," you have no such thing with a private employer or individual and "don't do's" describe about 98% of jobs. Again, the basic facts will get you further than vague questions, and you legal theories.
