An Employer's Greed, Lies, and Deception of a Teenager Part 1

1. I am filing a lawsuit because of being underpaid and working overtime and not compensated. What strategy should the plaintiff use in court?

2. Can I get money for her unconscionable deception,I am 18 years old and this was my first experience in the job world after graduating from High School with honors. I began as an hourly employee and was promoted to Assistant Manager and deceived that I was going to get more money than the $6.25 hourly, and according to the Department of Labor with my promotion I was receiving below the minimum wage and also working an extra 4 hours and 45 minutes overtime a week that I wasn't compensated for.

Your situation does not sound to be very litigation cost effective. I would suggest you just write a letter to your former employer demanding this extra pay you were denied and stating that if you do not receive it by X, you will file a complaint with the U.S. Dept. of Labor Wage-Hour Division. Then, if they don't, do it.
