Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Employment
A criminal background check was done for empolyment. The result showed only one arrest. It was for posession of a sharpened object in a public place from 15 years prior. This charge was null processed. The employer denied employment based on this criminal history. This person has never been incarcerated or served any probation, even missdemeanor. Is this legal?

Re: Employment
Sure it is "legal" for employers to make their own employment decisions (with extremely limited exceptions). There is no general right to employment.
